Nowcasting solare

  3. Intanto segnalo un bel POST su Meteolive:
    http://meteolive.leonardo.it/meteolive-notizia-30351-il_sole_caldo_dellestate_e_ancora_freddo_per_gli_strumenti.html

  5. The flux falls a day after the last spot has rotated off the limb .
I think this is part of the Wilson effect (or Some Other effect) .
White Light Faculae Are All We Have Now , Spotless Sun once again.
SC23/24 is now falling behind even SC13/14, and it’s butterfly diagram is compose of scattered spots mostly of penumbra only (L&P’ed).

Yes, the cycle has actually progressed forward, but weakly.
Today, we have this old area that has come to life in the N. Hem.
I believe (someone might check) that it is diametrically opposed to the reversed spot that just rotated off. Very close to it.
1084 is on one side, 1085 is on the other. The line through them passes close to the center of the Sun. It would be tilted 1085-1084 south.

  7. I’m looking at The Sky Level 4.
Saturn is to the left of the Earth as we face the Sun, and it is elevated to the North. Jupiter is almost on the right side of the Earth, as we face the Sun, and is to the South.
    Nice lineup.
1085 comes to life as the Sun rotates the line 1085-1084 past Saturn.
Like a bar magnet rotating past.
